Nichole (Agnes Bruckner) and Annie (Caity Lotz) are sisters. They had a difficult childhood with their mother. They have a bad relationship with their mother. That's why they do not live together. When their mother died, Nichole came home to attend the funeral. She also took her daughter, Eve, and trusts her to stay with Liz (Kathleen Rose Perkins), Nichole's cousin. Nichole asked Annie to come. At that night Nicole stayed alone at her mother's home and got the terror. On the next day, Annie came but could not find Nichole. Nichole disappeared. Annie went to the funeral and met Liz and Eve. Annie felt uncomfortable alone in her mother's home, so she took Liz and Eve to stay with her.

Nowadays, I'm busy with a lot of jobs at the beginning of year. I was forced to reduce the time to write a review. So, some movies that I watched were too late to be posted, one of them is The Wolf of Wall Street. The Wolf of Wall Street is Leonardo DiCaprio's movie in 2013 after The Great Gatsby. Although has already passed, but it was released in Indonesia at the end of January 2014. As a DiCaprio fan, I will not miss his movie. From the start, I've committed to watching it in the theaters and in early February 2014, I finally watched it in theaters. This movie has a long duration, about 150 minutes, although many cut by Indonesian film censorship, caused of too many hot scenes. If it is not censored, it will took 180 minutes to watch this movie.

I'm still the lucky ones because knew OSHIN. Some generations after me definitely do not know anything about OSHIN. What is OSHIN? OSHIN is a Japanese television series that aired on Indonesian television, TVRI (Televisi Republik Indonesia) in 90s. I've forgotten when exactly aired on TVRI, but certainly, I watched it. I also had OSHIN cassette when I was in elementary school and often played it. My father had bought it for me at that time. Unfortunately, I've actually forgotten the story. I only remember that OSHIN is a heartbreaking story from the land of cherry blossom (in Bahasa: Negeri Sakura), Japan.

Just Love the Landscape, not the Movie

Walter Mitty (Ben Stiller) is a single man 40 years old. He works at Life magazine and has a good position, as a manager in negative film asset department. Mitty has a high imagination. He loves to dream and imagine. Some people in the office think that he is a weird because of that. Mitty does not have a close friend, including a woman, because he is not smart when face to face with a woman. He was too shy and quiet. He only has a friend in the office, Hernando (Adrian Martinez), a Mitty's crew. Mitty choose to join a dating agency to get female friends, then he met Cheryl Melhoff (Kristen Wiig), a widow with a kid. Cheryl works at Life magazine too. Mitty was interested and love Cheryl.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a second movie Christmas-themed, which I chose to fill Christmas in 2013. Unlike Christmas movie in general, The Nightmare Before Christmas is very far from the beautiful things that we usually find when Christmas come. This movie featuring the main setting in a place that is 180 degrees opposite from Christmas, a dark town called Halloween Town. According the name, Halloween Town is a town that is filled with shades of Halloween. The atmosphere is very dark. The buildings are far away from a beautiful word, old-fashioned and not maintained well.
