The Best Musical Movie I've Ever watched

The Sound of Music, hhmmhh... this is my fourth time watched this movie. I knew this movie from my mother. She said, The Sound of Music is a one exploded movie on 1960's and always be remembered all the time. A few days ago, I decided to watch this movie again and still feels comforting, although knew the plot. A prospective nun, Maria (Julie Andrews) is a friendly, cheerful and honest. She likes children, loves to play guitar and sing.
But because of her sloppy and undisciplined, she often gets problems in abbey. Mother Abbess and some teachers really liked Maria, but there are also complained on Maria's attitude. One day, Mother Abbes received a letter from a Naval Officer, Captain Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). The Captain had seven kids. He is a widower since the death of his wife. He asked a governess to the kids from abbey. The nuns are known for a high discipline because they live in abbey, which has a strict rules. So it's not surprising that the Captain asked a help to the abbey.
Mother Abbess sent Maria to the task, because she felt that Maria is less suited to live in abbey. Mother Abbess hopes Maria will find the answers to her choice when the outside. Maria then packed her clothes and brought a guitar to the Captain home. When she got there, the Captain introduced her to the kids.

They are Liesl (Charmian Carr), Louisa (Heather Menzies-Urich), Firedrich (Nicholas Hammond), Kurt (Duane Chase), Brigitta (Angela Cartwright), Marta (Debbie Turner) and Gretl (Kym Karath). They are good kids, but a little nosy because they get less attention. They do not like a governess in their home. They are only scare and obedient to the Captain. It does not count anymore the governess who had resigned due to work because of their nosy.
As a father and also a mother, the Captain was caring and guiding the kids strictly. Some or rules in the house were also very inappropriate for kids. The Captain called them with a whistle like a horse. He did it because he does not want anyone yelling so the house is always in a quite condition. The Captain also treats them like soldiers, forbade them to play and sing. He did not want they reminded him back to his wife.

Maria felt compelled to do a lot of changes in the house. Maria invites the kids to have a picnic. He also taught them singing and doing new things that they had never did before. Slowly but sure, the kids started to like Maria. Maria has brought something that existed in the house. But, all is not as easy as imagined. The Captain found out what has been done by Maria and the kids, He was very angry and fired Maria. In the same time, Baroness (Eleanor Parker) came to the house and made Maria in a difficult position.

What I was told before is only about 10% of The Sound of Music. You will get more than what I have said, if watching it. There are many things I have not mentioned before. The Sound of Music told the simple story, a problem that usually occurs within a family, between parents and kids. But, the political conflict to the inside, as complement, makes this movie has a good lesson. A position can make a person did not care anymore about the people who have ever loved before.
In my opinion, The Sound of Music is the best musical movies I've ever watched. I can not imagine how this movie was made seriously. Each detail displayed excellent start from costumes, make up, music, lyrics, appreciation of the players, to the choreography that they have to do when they are singing. The players managed to build a very good chemistry, so they can be performed unified. The Sound of Music also won five Oscar categories in 1966, there are Best Picture, Best Director, Best Sound, Best Film Editing and Best Music, Scoring of Music, Adaptation or Treatment.
Most of songs in The Sound of Music are also very good to be heard and already familiar to us, like Edelweiss and The Lonely Goatherd. Besides that, the song titled Sound of Music and Do-Re-Mi already becomes the identity of this movie. Everyone who heard that songs, will definitely remember to The Sound of Music. They also have a nice, touching and meaningful lyric.

Music has made the world more better and relaxed. Music can make anyone forget all the bad things in their life for a moment. We can also express our feelings with singing, as we can see from this movie.
