Fox) and asked him to go to the future with him, into the date of October 21, 2015. At that time, the son of Marty and Jennifer (Elisabeth Shue), Martin, would have a problem and would be jailed. Doc invited Marty to rescue Martin. They tried to mess up the plan of Griff (Thomas F. Wilson), which caused Martin jailed. On their way, Doc was forced to make Jennifer fainted, because she was eager to find out all the events in the future.

Year 1985, a teenager, Marty Mc Fly (Michael J. Fox) likes all the things related to sci-fi. He has a close friend, Dr. Emmet Brown or Doc (Christopher Lloyd), an eccentric professor who is often considered crazy professor, because of his super crazy invention. On one night, Doc wait Marty in the field of The Twin Pines Mall. Doc would launch his spectacular invention to Marty, a time machine car. The car would carry the passengers into the past and the future. There are three panels time in the car, destination time, present time and last departed time. Each panel has a date (day, month and year) and time (hours and minutes).

It's All About Racing and a Teamwork

The movie begins with a series of prestigious car racing competition in the United States, Dinoco 400, Piston Cup Series. At this season, there are three riders are favored to win the championship position. They are the legends, The King (Richard Petty), a 1970 Plymouth Superbird car, blue color, number 43. The King is a champion of Piston Cup last year. This time is the last season for The King before he retired. In second place, Chick Hicks (Michael Keaton), a 1980 Buick Regal car, green color, number 86. He always in the runner-up position after The King. This year, he is very ambitious to win number one position. In third place, a new racer, Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), a Rookie car, red color, number 95. McQueen can compete with the opponents although as a new racer.

2013, seems to be the year of superhero movie. There are four movies were released in 2013, Man of Steel, Iron Man 3, The Wolverine and which is still being aired in cinema, Thor 2. I am actually not a big fan of superhero movie, I only love X-Men. I never miss all X-Men movies, started from X-Men (2000) to X-Men First Class (2011). There are some reasons why I love X-Men. The first, there are a lot of super power figures (mutants) in X-Men, though the central figure is still on Wolverine. The second, they have a unique super power from the others.

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

The Love Story of Dr. Gru

It is certainly that almost all movie lovers will not miss Despicable Me 2. Some of them have to wait longer before the film was released. I actually included that missed out because when this movie was released, I've never watched Despicable Me 1. So I chose to watch it first and watched Despicable Me 2 just a few days ago. Back to Despicable Me 2, the film still comes with the same main character, such as Dr. Gru (Steve Carell), three adopted children (Margo, Edith and Agnez), Dr. Nefario (Russell Brand) and of course the most adorable, Minion.

In a few days, there are a lot of things to be done which caused reduces my time to watch movie. This blog became a little choked up in issued a new post. But I still need the movie to refreshing, so I keep trying to steal a little time to watch a movie, at least one title for two days. Thanks to my friends who always give supports, advice and references good movie for me. Really, it is a shot of spirit for me in the middle of all my troubles to continue this blog. Now, I will review another Leonardo DiCaprio movie. For those of you who are not fans of DiCaprio, hopefully not to be bored with DiCaprio movie review ^_*

127 Hours tells of the true story of an American climber, Aron Ralston (James Franco). Aron had an accident when climbing in Blue John Canyon and had to survive for 127 hours (5 days and 7 hours). April, 25th, 2013, on night friday, Aron driving his car to Canyonlands National Parks to climb Blue John Canyon located in southwestern Canyonlands. He did not tell anyone about his climbing plans, including his family. The next day, Aron continue the trip by bicycle to reach the Blue John Canyon area. On his way, he met Kristi (Kate Mara) and Megan (Amber Tamblyn) who seemed lost and was looking for Dome area.

The story begins with a drop of sunlight that fell into the earth and grew up into a golden flower over the hillside. The golden flower was believed to heal wounds and diseases. After a few centuries passed, a kingdom stood and headed by the king and the queen who really loved by the people. This time, the queen was pregnant, but she got incurable disease. The troops and the people look for the golden flower to heal the queen. In the meanwhile over the centuries an old woman named Gothel hides and takes the advantage of the golden flower. She sings a spell so its flower will shine and Gothel's face becomes rejuvenated.

Adik Agamemnon, Menelaus (Brendan Gleeson), raja Sparta lelah berperang dan memilih berdamai dengan lawan terkuatnya, Troy. Tapi kesepakatan damai itu menjadi rusak karena pangeran Troy, Paris (Orlando Bloom) membawa lari Helen (Diana Kruger),istri Menelaus. Menelaus menjadi sangat marah dan memutuskan bergabung dengan Agamemnon untuk menyerang Troy.

Finding Nemo bercerita tentang kehidupan di bawah laut yang mengambil tokoh utama seekor ikan hias jenis Clown Fish. Marlin (Albert Brooks) dan Coral (Elizabeth Perkins) adalah sepasang ikan Clown Fish yang hidup bahagia dan sedang menunggu telur-telur mereka yang akan menetas. Tapi, seekor ikan besar datang dan memangsa Coral serta telur-telur mereka. Hanya ada 1 telur yang tersisa dan Marlin memberinya nama Nemo, seperti yang diinginkan oleh Coral. Nemo tumbuh menjadi seekor ikan yang cerdas, berani dan mudah bergaul dengan siapa saja.

Dalam perjalanannya, Eli bertemu dengan Solara (Mila Kunis) yang tinggal bersama ibunya dibawah pengawasan dan tekanan Carnegie (Gary Oldman).

Kali ini saya akan mereview film animasi Pixar, Monsters, Inc yang dirilis tahun 2001. Monsters, Inc dirilis terlebih dahulu dari prekuel nya, Monsters University yang baru dirilis tahun 2013. Jadi bagi Anda yang belum menonton Monsters, Inc tidak perlu khawatir tidak mengerti jalan cerita Monsters University, karena justru Monsters University adalah prekuel dari Monsters, Inc. James P. Sullivan "Sulley" (John Goodman) dan Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) adalah sahabat baik. Sulley dan Mike bekerja di perusahaan pemasok energi, Monsters, Inc. Monsters, Inc mendapatkan energi dengan cara mengumpulkan teriakan ketakutan dari anak manusia.

Setelah 12 tahun sejak sequel Monsters, Inc dirilis, akhirnya pada bulan Juni 2013, Disney Pixar kembali merilis Monsters University yang merupakan prequel dari Monsters, Inc. Monster University juga merupakan film prequel pertama bagi Pixar. Karena sebagai prequel, maka Monsters University menceritakan peristiwa yang terjadi sebelum Monsters, Inc. Jika Monsters, Inc bercerita tentang persahabatan Mike dan Sullivan saat sudah bekerja di Monsters, Inc, maka Monsters University menceritakan masa-masa saat mereka pertama kali bertemu, bersaing dan akhirnya menjadi sahabat di bangku kuliah Monsters University (MU).

Samson memiliki auman yang sangat keras dan mampu membuat musuh-musuhnya ketakutan. Ketika bermain bersama Ryan, Samson bercerita tentang pengalamannya saat mengalahkan sekelompok banteng. Ryan ingin suatu saat nanti bisa seperti ayahnya. Tapi sayang, Ryan selalu malu saat mendengar auman nya. Auman Ryan tidak sekeras ayahnya dan lebih mirip seekor kucing.

Setelah berpetualang selama satu tahun, Muntz menemukan tempat di Amerika Selatan yang berada di balik Air Terjun Surga. Tempat itu ditumbuhi tanaman dan hewan yang belum pernah ditemukan oleh manusia. Muntz kembali dan membawa sebuah kerangka yang diklaimnya sebagai kerangka monster. Tetapi para ilmuwan membantah dan menuduh Muntz memalsukan kerangka itu. Muntz akhirnya dikeluarkan dari Klub Petualang.

Blood Diamond mengambil setting di daerah konflik Afrika Barat, Sierra Leone pada tahun 1996-2001 saat terjadi pemberontakan oleh RUF (Revolutionary United Front). RUF membunuh, menyerang dan menahan warga sipil untuk dijadikan budak di pertambangan berlian. RUF menggunakan berlian itu untuk membiayai pemberontakan. Seorang nelayan, Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou) harus terpisah dari istri dan kedua anaknya. RUF membawa Vandy bekerja di pertambangan dalam pengawasan Kapten Poison (David Harewood).

Cast Away (2000)

Cast Away termasuk film lama, release pada tahun 2000. Tetapi bagi sebagian orang yang sudah menontonnya pasti tidak akan pernah melupakan film ini, termasuk saya. Dalam film ini, Tom Hanks berakting monolog selama sekitar 60 menit dari durasi total 143 menit. Definisi Monolog menurut Wikipedia adalah :
    "Istilah keilmuan yang diambil dari kata mono yang artinya satu dan log dari kata logi yang  artinya ilmu. Secara harfiah moolog adalah suatu ilmu terapan yang mengajarkan tentang seni peran dimana hanya dibutuhkan satu orang atau dialog bisu untuk melakukan adegan/sketsnya. Kata monolog lebih banyak ditujukan untuk kegiatan seni terutama seni peran dan teater" 
Salut untuk Tom Hanks yang bisa melakukan monolog dengan sangat baik. Ini adalah untuk kedua kalinya saya menonton Cast Away, dan sekali lagi saya masih tetap dapat menikmati Cast Away, meskipun saya sudah mengetahui ceritanya. Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) bekerja di sebuah perusahaan jasa pengiriman barang, FedEx. Setelah perjamuan makan malam Natal dengan keluarga dan kekasihnya, Kelly (Helen Hunt), Chuck pergi mengantarkan barang dengan penerbangan FedEx.

Life of Pi (2012)

Seorang pemuda di India, Pi Patel (Suraj Sharma) dan keluarganya pindah ke Kanada dengan membawa semua binatang yang ada di kebun binatang milik ayahnya. Perjalanan ditempuh dengan sebuah kapal. Pada suatu malam, kapal diserang badai, sehingga Pi harus kehilangan semua anggota keluarganya. Pi yang berhasil lolos dengan sekoci, harus bertahan hidup dengan 1 zebra, 1 orang utan bernama Orange Juice, 1 hyena dan 1 harimau benggala dewasa bernama Richard Parker. Selama berminggu-minggu Pi dan harimau Parker berada di atas sekoci dan harus bertahan hidup di tengah lautan luas. Pi yang seorang vegetarian (tidak memakan produk hewani apapun) harus bertahan dengan memakan biskuit darurat yang ada di sekoci. Pi juga harus bertahan dari serangan Parker yang sedang kelaparan.
