Sinopsis :

Sinopsis :

Seorang pemuda pengangguran, mahasiswa Drop Out (DO) jurusan hukum, Niko Fischer, hidup lontang-lantung di Berlin tanpa tujuan. Suatu hari, kehidupan Niko berjalan tidak seperti biasanya. Niko menemui banyak masalah, permohonan ijin mengemudinya ditolak, kartu ATM-nya tertelan dalam mesin ATM, sementara ayahnya sudah tidak mau lagi membantu karena mengetahui statusnya yang DO. Bukan itu saja, Niko juga kesulitan mendapatkan secangkir kopi karena uangnya tidak cukup, mesin kopinya rusak atau sedang dibersihkan, bahkan beberapa kali kesempatan mendapatkan kopi gratis terlewat begitu saja oleh Niko.

Belajar Banyak tentang Kepercayaan dari Simpanse dan Manusia

Mana sih yang lebih sulit, mempercayai atau dipercayai ? Menurut saya, dua-duanya sama-sama sulit. Kepercayaan itu bukanlah hal yang mudah karena melibatkan setidaknya dua pihak yang belum tentu memiliki visi, misi dan kondisi yang sama. Kalau kepercayaan itu hanya melibatkan satu pihak saja, maka tidak akan sulit. Tidak mengherankan jika ada yang mengatakan kalau kepercayaan itu ibarat kertas, yang jika sudah pernah kusut maka tidak akan pernah bisa kembali lagi licin seperti semula. Saya sangat setuju. Lalu, apa sih hubungannya antara kepercayaan dengan film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (DotPotA) yang akan saya review kali ini?. Sebagai sekuel lanjutan dari cerita Rise of the Planet of the Apes (RotPotA), DotPotA mengajarkan banyak hal tentang kepercayaan.

"Bagaimana bisa saya melewatkan film ini begitu saja?". Itu adalah pertanyaan yang timbul dalam benak saya, setelah menonton Rise of the Planet of the Apes (RotPotA). Bagaimana tidak terlambat, film ini sudah dirilis sejak tahun 2011, sedangkan saya baru menontonnya di pertengahan Juli 2014, tepat 4 hari sebelum saya menonton sekuel lanjutannya, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (DotPotA). Tapi alih-alih terlambat, lebih baik terlambat daripada melewatkan film ini begitu saja. Menonton RotPotA adalah suatu kesempatan buat saya untuk menilik kembali di mana sebenarnya rasa kemanusiaan yang dimiliki oleh mahluk yang katanya berakal budi dan paling mulia di dunia ini, siapa lagi kalau bukan kita-kita ini, manusia. RotPotA seakan menampar muka saya, hingga malu dan membalikkan posisi manusia sebagai mahluk di dunia yang paling rendah karena tidak manusiawi. Duuhhh, kejam sekali ya ternyata manusia itu >_<.

Minggu yang lalu adalah minggu keberuntungan buat saya karena mendapat hibahan beberapa keping judul dan kotak DVD film, hip..hip..hurraayy sambutku kegirangan. Yang sering-sering ya pikirku :p #sambil ngarep lagi. THANK YOU buat hibahannya yaa hehe... Nah, diantara kepingan DVD itu, ada 1 film yang judulnya sudah menarik perhatianku sejak pertama kali melihatnya, judul filmnya Hear Me. Dan setelah menontonnya, saya sempat termenung dan tidak bisa berkata apa-apa. Ternyata sebuah film itu tidak perlu banyak suara untuk bisa dikatakan bagus. Yaaa, bisa dikatakan film yang juga berjudul Ting Shuo dalam bahasa Taiwan ini hanya memiliki sekitar 30% suara dari keseluruhan film saat berdialog. Lho koq bisa? Ya karena karakter utama dalam film ini adalah penderita tuna rungu. Jadi dialog yang terjadi di dalam Hear Me mayoritas dilakukan dengan bahasa isyarat (tanpa suara). WoooW

Setelah 12 hari lewat begitu saja tanpa menulis review film satupun, akhirnya hari ini, tanggal 15 Juli 2014, saya kembali menulis review. Gempita World Cup 2014 yang baru saja berlalu telah menyedot perhatian dan waktu saya. Aksi begadang hampir setiap hari ketika malam atau subuh mengakibatkan waktu tidur saya berkurang dan akhirnya memangkas waktu saya menulis review dan menggantinya dengan acara menebus hutang tidur, hehe... Tanpa sadar, sudah ada 5 film yang belum sempat saya review T_T. Nah, kali ini film yang akan saya bagikan berjudul 500 Days of Summer, film drama komedi romantis yang bercerita tentang hubungan rumit bin ruwet yang melibatkan sepasang manusia (pastinya satu cowok dan satu cewek), yaitu Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) dan Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel).

Kalau saya ditanya siapa aktor yang paling total dalam mendalami peran, saya langsung menjawab Christian Bale. Kenapa Bale? Yaa.. kalau mengingat apa yang sudah Bale lakukan dengan berat badannya dalam beberapa filmnya yang berbeda demi tuntutan peran, rasanya ya pantas lah kalau saya memilih Bale. Bayangkan saja, menurut sumber yang saya baca di IMDB (Internet Movie Database), ketika bermain dalam The Machinist (2004), Bale berhasil menurunkan berat badan dari 173 pounds (78 kilogram) menjadi 110 pounds (49 kilogram), WOW!! turun 28 kilogram. Sangat fantastis bukan? Untuk mendapatkan itu, Bale hanya memakan 1 buah apel atau 1 kaleng ikan tuna dan meminum 1 cangkir kopi pahit setiap harinya.

The Basketball Diaries, Masalah Remaja yang Kompleks

Menonton The Basketball Diaries seperti sebuah kebetulan yang pas. Pas saya sedang tidak fit dan butuh motivasi, koq ya pas nonton film ini. Saya menonton jam 6 pagi, setelah malam harinya hanya sempat tidur selama 3 jam. Karena kurang tidur, saya menonton dengan kepala yang terasa berat, tapi tentu saja saya tetap bersemangat. Satu alasan utamanya adalah DiCaprio. Ya, aktor favorit saya, DiCaprio, bermain di film ini dan menjadi pemeran Jim Carrol, karakter utama. Kisah nyata kehidupan Jim yang penuh liku-liku ditampilkan dengan sangat apik di film ini. Masalahnya memang masih klise, permasalahan seputar remaja, tapi tidak bisa dipandang remeh. Masalah yang membelit kehidupan Jim ini memang layak untuk diangkat ke dalam sebuah film. Mengapa? Ya karena sangat kompleks, mulai dari persahabatan, perkelahian remaja, hubungan keluarga, seks bebas, penyimpangan seks, agama, pendidikan, kriminalitas hingga yang menjadi fokus utamanya, yaitu drugs. Rumit dan kompleks bukan??

Menegangkan dari Awal hingga Akhir

Sudah lama saya tidak nonton filmnya Tom Hanks, terakhir Cloud Atlas, itupun saya juga tidak menonton hingga selesai. Kenapa? Ya karena filmnya yang cukup rumit, maklum film sci-fi. Ceritanya rumit, ada banyak perbedaan zaman dalam ceritanya, ditambah lagi banyaknya karakter yang dimainkan oleh orang yang sama. Bayangkan saja ya, si Tom Hanks harus memerankan 5 macam karakter berbeda di Cloud Atlas. Sangat mengecewakan dan sudah membuatku jadi bosan, pusing dan tidak sanggup lagi untuk menyelesaikannya, hehe.. Padahal dari beberapa berita yang pernah saya baca menyebutkan kalau Cloud Atlas sudah menghabiskan dana yang tidak sedikit. Hmm sayang sekali.

Ia wanita yang eksentrik, keras, tegas, disiplin, perfeksionis dan tidak tanggung-tanggung dalam memberikan pekerjaan kepada bawahannya. Semua orang juga sudah mengetahui seberapa seringnya ia berganti asisten. Jika bukan karena Miranda yang tidak puas dengan mereka maka merekalah yang tidak tahan dengan tekanan pekerjaan yang diberikan oleh Miranda.

Nowadays, I'm busy with a lot of jobs at the beginning of year. I was forced to reduce the time to write a review. So, some movies that I watched were too late to be posted, one of them is The Wolf of Wall Street. The Wolf of Wall Street is Leonardo DiCaprio's movie in 2013 after The Great Gatsby. Although has already passed, but it was released in Indonesia at the end of January 2014. As a DiCaprio fan, I will not miss his movie. From the start, I've committed to watching it in the theaters and in early February 2014, I finally watched it in theaters. This movie has a long duration, about 150 minutes, although many cut by Indonesian film censorship, caused of too many hot scenes. If it is not censored, it will took 180 minutes to watch this movie.

I'm still the lucky ones because knew OSHIN. Some generations after me definitely do not know anything about OSHIN. What is OSHIN? OSHIN is a Japanese television series that aired on Indonesian television, TVRI (Televisi Republik Indonesia) in 90s. I've forgotten when exactly aired on TVRI, but certainly, I watched it. I also had OSHIN cassette when I was in elementary school and often played it. My father had bought it for me at that time. Unfortunately, I've actually forgotten the story. I only remember that OSHIN is a heartbreaking story from the land of cherry blossom (in Bahasa: Negeri Sakura), Japan.

He only has a friend in the office, Hernando (Adrian Martinez), a Mitty's crew. Mitty choose to join a dating agency to get female friends, then he met Cheryl Melhoff (Kristen Wiig), a widow with a kid. Cheryl works at Life magazine too. Mitty was interested and love Cheryl.

RUSH is my third favorite movie in January 2014. There will be a lot of films included in my favorite list in early 2014. The next three films that will follow soon in my favorite list are Back to the Future III, Hannibal and Captain Phillip. Last year, my friend who has a hobby on food photography advised me to watch RUSH. But because of the airing time of RUSH in theaters is almost over, I do not have time to watch it. I watched RUSH in 2014, it is a bit late, but no problem than not watching it ^.^ And after watching it, I agree when he told me that I should not miss RUSH. A good story and contains good moral message.

This review has a connection with the previous (Red Dragon), because The Silence of the Lambs is a sequel of Red Dragon. As I mentioned before, those are part of trilogy based on a book by Thomas Harris. In this sequel, there are two striking differences from the previous, protagonist character and the story focus. This time, the story involved a beautiful protagonist character, Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), a woman who was an apprentice in FBI. If Red Dragon story focused on murder cases, the Silence of the Lambs focused on Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). Why? A simple reasonable answer is The Silence of the Lambs is a bridge to get to third sequel, Hannibal, which told a lot about Lecter.

Michael did not want to work bathing the corpse forever, he filed a registration to seminary school and was accepted. Michael chose seminary because of its low cost. Michael was very smart and gets a satisfactory score in exam. When approaching graduation, Michael did not feel the call of God in him. Michael submitted his resignation to seminary.

I recommend to you watch this movie. If you are feeling hopeless because of failed in a business, JOBS can give a motivation. Jobs' struggle will remaind us that hardworking will give a result someday. JOBS told about a biography story of personal computer pioneer and founder of Apple Computer, Inc, Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher). Altough he died caused of pancreatic cancer on October 5th, 2011, but his big name always be remembered forever. His ideas and innovation made Apple being the most valuable company in the world in 2011.

Erica wants Nina to be a successful ballerina. Nina is a talented ballerina though she was very young. Beth Macintyre (Winona Ryder) was 40 years old, is a lead ballerina. Nina was very admired her. On one occasion, Nina stole her lipstick. Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel), a director, held an audition looking for new Beth to Swan Lake Show.

They consider it, as their own. They also do not tell it to anyone. When visiting their boat for a second time, they meet a mysterious man with a gun. He is Mud (Matthew McConaughey), who lives alone on the island and the owner that boat.

The Sound of Music, hhmmhh... this is my fourth time watched this movie. I knew this movie from my mother. She said, The Sound of Music is a one exploded movie on 1960's and always be remembered all the time. A few days ago, I decided to watch this movie again and still feels comforting, although knew the plot. A prospective nun, Maria (Julie Andrews) is a friendly, cheerful and honest. She likes children, loves to play guitar and sing.
